Outpatient rehab is addiction treatment you attend while living at home or in sober living. You get therapy, counseling and support from a clinical team without staying overnight, so you can keep up with work, family and other responsibilities.
Outpatient care comes in different levels of intensity. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the most structured, followed by an intensive outpatient program (IOP), then standard outpatient therapy. Many people move through these levels after residential rehab.
